It may feel a little early to be thinking about 2027. After all, we haven’t even officially entered spooky season yet! However, it’s never too early to start planning your Disney World vacation.

The Deluxe Perk That Adds Value
Disney Deluxe Resorts come with the highest price tags, but also the most perks. If you decide to stay Deluxe, one of the biggest advantages you’ll receive is Extended Evening Hours. Extended Evening Hours allows guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts and select other hotels to play in the parks for hours after park closing for free. All you need is a valid theme park admission for that day. That’s right, at no extra charge, Extended Evening Hours gives these guests the ability to remain in select theme parks on select nights for two extra hours after the park closes to everyone else. Consequently, reduced capacity means lower wait times for popular attractions!

Extended Evening Hours Dates
While the park operating calendar for 2027 has not been released yet, Disney has officially confirmed that Extended Evening Hours will continue to be offered through 2027! So, which parks participate and what can you generally expect?
First, all four theme parks (Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney”s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom) have the potential to participate. In the past, EPCOT and Magic Kingdom have been the most frequent offerings. EPCOT typically offers Extended Evening Hours on Mondays. Additionally, Magic Kingdom often has Extended Evening Hours on Wednesdays. However, exceptions do exist…
Disclaimer time: available parks can and sometimes do change! We recently reported that some upcoming Wednesdays will host Extended Evening Hours at Animal Kingdom instead of Magic Kingdom (and that definitely doesn’t feel like a 1:1 swap). We’ve also seen Extended Evening Hours offered at Hollywood Studios in lieu of Magic Kingdom on select dates in the past. Sometimes, the day of the week will even change from Wednesday to Thursday. With this in mind, it’s very important to double-check the Hours & Events Calendar ahead of your trip. You don’t want to be caught off guard by changes!

Available Attractions
Since Extended Evening Hours can technically happen in any of the theme parks, you may be wondering which attractions are available during this exclusive event. Available attractions are subject to change, and may close due to inclement weather or other reasons. It’s always a good idea to verify availability in the My Disney Experience app during your visit. Here’s a breakdown of attractions currently listed as available during Extended Evening Hours.

Final Thoughts
Along with attractions, select merchandise and food/beverage locations are also available for guests to purchase during Extended Evening Hours. In the past, the MouseHouseNews.net team has highly recommended Extended Evening Hours as a way to experience a high number of attractions in a short period of time. In fact, we have a current record of riding 12 Magic Kingdom attractions (including heavy-hitters like TRON, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Space Mountain multiple times) all in a two-hour span.
Generally, it’s still true that you can experience a lot in just two hours. However, more recently we’ve noticed an increase in the “feel” of the overall crowd level. Wait times for popular attractions also seem to remain longer deeper into the night than during previous Extended Evening Hours events. If you’re interested in learning more, Marcus has elaborated on the reasons why some guests may prefer purchasing a Disney After Hours ticket instead. Either way, I suggest grabbing a snack for those late nights.
I don’t say any of this to scare you off from this perk. Definitely take advantage of Extended Evening Hours if you’re eligible! Depending on your priorities, you can still look forward to lower wait times than during the day. However, you may not end up on quite as many rides as was previously possible (again, it all is based on what you’re trying to do).
