1. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Has Officially Changed Magic Kingdom Nights

The 2026 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party began August 7th and continues on select nights through October 31st. Disney has scheduled party nights throughout the fall, with Magic Kingdom transforming into a separately ticketed Halloween celebration after regular park operations end. On party nights, regular daytime guests need to leave Magic Kingdom before the Halloween event begins. Disney’s official event information lists the party as running from 7:00 PM until midnight, with party guests able to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM. That creates a very different evening experience from a normal Magic Kingdom day.

2. EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Begins Thursday
The 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival officially begins Thursday, August 27th and runs through November 21st. This is arguably the biggest reason this particular week matters.
