REVIEW: It’s A No For Me, Dog! Reviewing The BLUEY Treats At Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is perhaps the most laid-back theme park in Disney World. Unfortunately, for some people, it has the reputation of being just a “half-day park”. Contrary to that belief, Animal Kingdom actually has so much to offer! From lively shows and delicious dining to favorite characters, rides, and of course, the resident animals, there’s no shortage of fun to experience. I encourage you to check out the MouseHouseNews.net 2026 Guide to Animal Kingdom for more details of what you can expect during your visit.

Bluey’s Arrival At The Park

Earlier this summer, Bluey arrived at Animal Kingdom to much fanfare. Bluey’s Wild World initially opened with a virtual queue in place; however, the virtual queue disappeared following the first week of operation. You can now play games with Bluey & Bingo after waiting in a standby line.

Bluey is ready to party with you

Preschool-age fans of the TV show Bluey are definitely the target audience for this new section. However, the excitement and energy are for all ages! There’s no telling what‘s going to happen when that game of Keepy-Uppy begins…

While you’re at Conservation Station, you can also check out the Animal Nutrition Window, Veterinary Treatment Room, and Amphibian, Reptile, and Invertebrate Windows. As a lifelong lover of kangaroos, I absolutely loved the new Jumping Junction habitat too!

Don’t skip visiting Jumping Junction!

Bluey-Inspired Snacks

Animal Kingdom is celebrating Bluey’s arrival at the park with a number of limited time snacks and beverages inspired by the show. You can find these tasty options at various locations in the theme park. One of the locations where you can find Bluey-inspired treats is Pizzafari. Pizzafari is a Discovery Island quick service location serving up pizza, pasta, salads, and more. Here’s a tip: this location also offers mobile ordering, so you can grab your food without waiting in line! Now, let’s talk about what the MouseHouseNews.net team tried on our recent visit.

Fairy Bread Cake is available at Pizzafari

Fairy Bread Cake

When I first heard of this menu item, I went to research fairy bread. I learned that it is often served at children’s parties in Australia and New Zealand. Making fairy bread is simple. Just spread butter or margarine onto white bread, top with “hundreds and thousands” (the sprinkles known as nonpareils to us here in the United States), and cut it into triangles.

So, what about Disney’s version? First, it’s important to point out that this treat is inspired by fairy bread. The snack served at Pizzafari is not traditional fairy bread. Instead, Disney’s Fairy Bread Cake is vanilla birthday cake dipped in white chocolate and topped with rainbow sprinkles. It comes with a side of raspberry dipping sauce.

The Fairy Bread Cake did look interesting, at least

Visually, it somewhat resembles fairy bread. The cake has a colorful sprinkle topping (although not the same level of coverage). It also has a triangular shape. However, that’s where the similarities end. Ultimately, I’m not even sure I would exactly describe this treat as “vanilla birthday cake” either. The interior was extremely mushy, reminding me a lot of an underbaked cookie. To be honest, I didn’t care for the texture at all. When you factor in the melty white chocolate glaze, it was quite the gooey mess on a hot summer day.

The verdict: based on the description, I expected “cake”, and this was definitely not “cake-like”. Although this was the treat I was most excited about, I would not get it again. I also wouldn’t recommend it, especially to anyone who is easily turned off by unexpected textures. On the other hand, if you like super sweet treats or are a fan of the thick, almost underbaked cookies found at specialty cookie chains, you may enjoy it.

Bluey’s Berry Lemonade is a sweet, partially-frozen concoction

Bluey’s Berry Lemonade

Next up is Bluey’s Berry Lemonade. Bluey’s Berry Lemonade is made of frozen Minute Maid® Lemonade blended with blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry flavors. You also get plenty of colorful sprinkles on top. The overall consensus was that this drink was very sweet. When I say very sweet, I mean… very sweet. It did have that slight tartness from the lemonade and berries; however, the sugariness dominated. In fact, MouseHouseNews.net team member Marcus likened it to SWEETarts candy. This drink also melted very quickly.

Would we get it again? Maybe. If you’re looking for a very sweet beverage or typically gravitate toward a frozen Blue Raspberry Slushy, you’ll probably enjoy this one. Marcus said he would opt for a Frozen Macaw Specialty Beverage from nearby Isle of Java instead.

My Wackadoo Fruit Freeze was slightly overfilled and I was all for it

Wackadoo Fruit Freeze

The final item is the one I can easily crown the winner: the Wackadoo Fruit Freeze. The Wackadoo Fruit Freeze is made of frozen Simply® Fruit Punch garnished with fruit salad. To put it simply (see what I did there?), this one was extremely refreshing. The fruit punch flavor wasn’t overly sweet or syrupy. Although it was filled to the brim, it didn’t melt nearly as quickly as the Berry Lemonade did.

The fruit salad on top included fresh cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, and both red and green grapes. The fruit was ever-so-slightly frozen, but not to the extent that it was hard to eat. I really loved it. Few things are more satisfying on a hot day than delicious, cold fruit, so this really hit the spot for me!

As I previously mentioned, this drink was a highlight. It definitely earns the top spot out of the Bluey-inspired treats we tried. In fact, the Wackadoo Fruit Freeze is the one item I hope sticks around well beyond the current 2026 Cool Kids’ Summer promotion!
