There are many advantages to choosing a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel for your Disney World vacation. Staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort definitely comes with even more perks. In many cases, Disney Adults will be within walking distance of the theme parks, have additional transportation options, enjoy more dining choices (including table service restaurants), and so forth.
Extended Evening Hours
One of the biggest perks to staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort is exclusive access to Extended Evening Hours. For some guests, this advantage alone makes the price tag worth it. Extended Evening Hours allow guests of these hotels to stay in select theme parks on select nights for two additional hours after the parks close to all other guests. This reduced capacity means less crowds and lower attraction wait times. If you want to ride the most popular attractions (or aspire to ride as many attractions as possible), this can be a huge advantage.

Other lower capacity events (i.e. Disney After Hours, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights) can also result in reduced attraction wait times. However, these specially-ticketed events require an additional ticket purchase. In contrast, Extended Evening hours is included for Deluxe Resort guests at no additional cost. As long as you’re staying at a qualifying hotel, all you need is a valid park admission for that day to attend.

The Typical Extended Evening Hours Schedule
In general, Extended Evening Hours are offered twice per week. Most of the year, you can expect to see Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT on Monday evenings and at Magic Kingdom on Wednesday evenings. This being said, Disney can (and does) change up the days of the week, scheduled hours, or even which parks are participating in Extended Evening hours during any given week. As a result, we strongly recommend you double-check Disney’s Hours and Events Calendar prior to your trip to confirm availability.

What’s Changing In Late 2026
Disney typically releases calendars 60 days in advance, and information is subject to change. Now is the time to be on the lookout for major changes to which parks are offering Extended Evening Hours on which days. In particular, holiday party season tends to impact the schedule quite a bit. It’s Not Too Late To Plan A Late 2026 Trip
As we get into the last months of 2026, it’s not too late to plan a Disney World vacation. If you’d like some assistance, start by requesting a quote from Marcus with Purely Luxe Vacations. He’ll hook you up!

Even if a 2026 holiday season visit won’t fit into your plans, don’t worry! It’s already been confirmed that Deluxe Resort guests will be able to enjoy the Extended Evening Hours benefit through 2027. If you’d like to try Extended Evening Hours, but don’t want to commit to the price tag for the full length of your trip, you may want to consider booking a split stay. Personally, I enjoy split stays as a way to experience the magic and theming of multiple Disney Resorts all in the same vacation. Stay tuned to MouseHouseNews.net for more information, news, and tips to help you plan your Disney World vacation. We’ll see you real soon!
