For Disney Adults arriving at Orlando International Airport (MCO), one of the least exciting parts of a Walt Disney World vacation is waiting around at baggage claim. After spending hours traveling, the last thing you want to do is stand around a luggage carousel when you could already be on your way to the magic. Fortunately, more Disney Adults can now skip that part of their arrival experience altogether!
Effective immediately, Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney has expanded to include every Value and Moderate Resort at Walt Disney World. The latest expansion, announced October 29, 2026, adds three Moderate Resort properties to the program, making this convenient service available to guests staying at nine Disney Resort hotels.
More Disney Resorts Join The Luggage-Free Arrival Experience
Disney introduced Airport Luggage Transfer in 2025, initially piloting the transfer service at its Value Resorts. Since then, Disney has gradually expanded the program, adding more participating airlines and eventually introducing luggage transfers for arriving guests.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort became the first Moderate Resort to participate in August 2026. Now, the remaining Moderate Resorts are joining the party.
The full list of resorts now participating include:
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (NEW)
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter (NEW)
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside (NEW)
The three new additions mean that Disney Adults staying at any of Walt Disney World’s Value or Moderate Resorts can potentially enjoy the convenience of having their checked luggage transferred directly between Orlando International Airport and their resort.

Disney’s Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villa Resorts are not currently included in the program, although you can take a Minnie Van™ from the airport if you’re staying at one of those resorts.
Skip The Baggage Carousel And Get Your Vacation Started
Here’s where the service becomes especially appealing for Disney Adults who want to maximize their vacation time. Instead of arriving at Orlando International Airport, heading to baggage claim, waiting for your suitcases, and dragging everything to your transportation, eligible guests can simply leave their checked luggage behind. After checking your bags at your departure airport, you can fly to Orlando, bypass baggage claim, and head directly toward your Disney World vacation.

The service, operated by BagCheck, takes care of transporting your checked luggage to your Disney Resort hotel. Disney advises allowing up to four hours after your flight lands for your luggage to arrive at your resort. Once it arrives, you can collect it from Luggage Assistance, or request delivery to your room.
Imagine arriving in Orlando, heading to your resort, dropping off your carry-on bag, and enjoying lunch or a cocktail while someone else handles your suitcase. For Disney Adults who enjoy starting their vacations without unnecessary delays, that’s a pretty sweet arrangement.
Your Airline Matters Just As Much As Your Resort
Before you start making plans to leave your luggage behind, there’s another important detail to consider. Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney is currently available for eligible domestic flights operated by four airlines:
- American Airlines
- JetBlue
- Southwest Airlines
- United Airlines

The luggage transfer service itself is complimentary, although normal airline baggage fees still apply. Guests must register for arriving luggage transfers between 30 days and 24 hours before their flight. Registration requires both a Disney Resort reservation confirmation number and a flight confirmation number.

For departing flights, guests can also leave their checked luggage with their resort’s Luggage Assistance team between 24 hours and four hours before departure. Their bags will then be transferred to the airport.
A Little More Convenience Goes A Long Way
Longtime Disney Adults may remember when Disney’s Magical Express provided complimentary airport transportation and luggage delivery for guests staying at Disney Resort hotels. Although Magical Express ended in 2022, this expanding luggage transfer program brings back one of its most appreciated conveniences. There is still one significant difference: Airport Luggage Transfer does not provide transportation for guests. You’ll still need to arrange your own ride between Orlando International Airport and Walt Disney World.

Nevertheless, the ability to skip baggage claim, especially after a long flight, is a welcome improvement. For Disney Adults who prefer to travel light, spend more time enjoying their resorts, and avoid unnecessary airport hassles, the expansion makes staying at a Disney Value or Moderate Resort a little more attractive.

With all Value and Moderate Resorts now included, perhaps the next step will be expanding the program to Disney’s Deluxe Resorts. Until then, more Disney Adults can officially say goodbye to their checked luggage at their departure airport and say hello to it again once they reach Walt Disney World. That’s one less thing to worry about when your vacation begins!
