What was supposed to be a celebratory summer event for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders is unfortunately turning into a frustrating merchandise hunt for many Disney Adults.
Just weeks into V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days, several of the event’s most popular exclusive merchandise items are already sold out or extremely difficult to find across Walt Disney World Resort. Additionally, there currently appears to be little to no information available regarding whether Disney plans to restock these items.
As of May 31st, MouseHouseNews.net observed major shortages at multiple locations throughout Walt Disney World.
Unavailable Items
At EPCOT’s Creations Shop, many sizes of the new Annual Passholder t-shirts were unavailable. Medium and Large sizes were sold out when we visited, while only a limited number of XL shirts remained on the sales floor. The only sizes that were plentiful were Small, 2XL, and 3XL. A Cast Member searched for us and was unable to find any Medium or Large sizes in EPCOT. None of this new collection was spotted anywhere at Emporium in Magic Kingdom. We did not make it to the Animal Kingdom or Disney Springs to check availability elsewhere.
The situation is even worse for some of the event’s most in-demand accessories. The V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days Loungefly crossbody and matching coin bag are completely sold out per the Passholder Buzz. There were also no Passholder baseball caps to be found at Creations Shop.
Meanwhile, the popular Passholder popcorn bucket is currently unavailable at both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. A Cast Member at Hollywood Studios informed me that the buckets had been sold out for “many days now,” suggesting that inventory disappeared quickly.
Unfortunately, this has created another problem that Disney fans know all too well: online resellers.
Please Don’t Do This
Many of these limited-edition Passholder items are already appearing on resale marketplaces at heavily inflated prices. While it may be tempting to pay the markup if you missed out, doing so only encourages the bad habit. With the trend of aggressive merchandise reselling, shoppers buy large quantities of limited items specifically to flip them online for profit. This is against the terms of service for Passholders, yet people continue to do it.
Passholders who genuinely wanted these items for their personal collections are often the ones left empty-handed. We at MouseHouseNews.net strongly suggest keeping your money and not patronizing these resellers. When the price gouging stops producing sales, those gobbling up the merchandise will stop doing it.

For now, Disney has not publicly announced whether any of the sold out V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days merchandise will be restocked. The fine print has said all along that the items are “while supplies last”. Guests visiting Walt Disney World over the remaining months of V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days may want to keep checking stores periodically during their trip, as inventory levels can occasionally fluctuate without notice.
Many Passholders are hoping Disney can improve inventory availability for future event merchandise releases. After all, fans should have a fair opportunity to purchase these limited-time items at regular retail prices.
