Easter is just over a week away, and the holiday weekend is historically a popular time to visit Walt Disney World. The long weekend brings vacationers from all over to take advantage of a holiday at Disney World that typically provides special holiday treats, holiday meals, souvenirs, and different exhibits in addition to fun at the theme parks. If you plan to be around Walt Disney World anytime between now and Easter, be sure to check out the return of a popular exhibit offered at four Disney resort hotels.

Disney World’s culinary Cast Members have been known for creating larger than life masterpieces that go on display during various times of the year. It is the Culinary department behind the creation of the gingerbread houses that appear in various resort lobbies shortly after Thanksgiving every year. Around Easter, these talented Cast Members display other pieces of art they’ve been working on: Eggs! These eggs are inspired by various Disney themes, and they are highly intricate pieces that clearly take many hours to create. It is definitely worth a visit to see them, as you’ll not see anything like them anywhere else.

This year, you can see these decorated eggs at two Magic Kingdom area resorts and two EPCOT area resorts. In the Magic Kingdom area, you’ll want to hop on the monorail and visit Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa as well as Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Over by EPCOT, you’ll find decorated eggs at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Each exhibit is set up in the lobbies of these resorts. Just look for the crowds… because these eggs draw quite the crowd.

This year, the eggs were displayed on April 1st at the Contemporary, Yacht, and Beach Club resorts. Grand Floridian actually had their exhibit up on March 18th. All resorts will keep the exhibits up through Easter, which falls on April 20th. Note that each resort has its own set of eggs, so you have not seen them all simply by going to one resort. Long story short, set aside some time specifically to view these exhibits. It is a uniquely Disney World activity that you can only participate in for a few weeks out of the year if you are lucky enough to be on-site at the right time.
