We’re all adults here, so we know the rules. There’s simply no running in Disney World. However, there are some events when we can break that rule. If you’ve wanted your chance to literally run through the theme parks, you’ll want to circle tomorrow’s date on the calendar.
As MouseHouseNews.net reported last month, the 2026 – 2027 runDisney season kicks off in October. The 2026 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is the first event of the season, and it takes place October 22nd – 25th. There is a 5K race, a 10K race, and a half marathon. There is even a challenge which includes registration for all three races! We covered the themes for the Disney Wine & Dine races last month. Even though the event occurs in October, runDisney events have registration dates that occur many months in advance. They are wildly popular and oftentimes sell out the same day. In fact, the 5K and 10K events generally sell out within the first hour or two after general registration opens.
For this reason, if you are interested in participating in the Wine & Dine event, you’ll want to be logged onto the runDisney website at 10:00 AM Eastern tomorrow (February 10th). You’ll want to know this information ahead of time, as registrations fill up very quickly and you’ll want to know what to expect prior to registering.
