Disney Adults: Valentine’s Day is just one week away! Are you headed to Walt Disney World over the next week? You just might be celebrating Valentine’s Day at The Most Magical Place on Earth! If this is you and you’ll be accompanied by the love of your life, you’re in for a very special holiday. So, how do Disney Adults celebrate Valentine’s Day at Disney World? I’ll provide an itinerary of ideas you can use for a great night!
After you have enjoyed a morning in one of the theme parks or shopping at Disney Springs, spend part of your afternoon refreshing and getting ready for your Valentine’s Day date. You know what that entails: getting your hair “did”, ironing the wrinkles out of that shirt, etc. Then, when late afternoon comes (before every single restaurant gets crowded), it’s time to execute the plan. The plan looks something like this:
Purchase those Valentine’s Day Minnie ears for your date

You can conveniently find these ears at many places around Walt Disney World Resort. They are available in many Disney hotel resort gift shops and at Disney Springs stores such as World of Disney and Marketplace Co-Op. These are festive and on-point for the night!
Take a Disney bus to Disney Springs and grab an early Valentine’s Day dinner

Start your evening by jumping on the free shuttle to Disney Springs to fill your stomach. There’s so many restaurants to choose from at Disney Springs, so you’ll find something to delight your taste buds. Some suggestions might include Paddlefish, The Boathouse, and Morimoto Asia. Just be sure to get your table early on in the evening. I’d suggest a late afternoon dinner if you don’t already have reservations. We’re talking about Valentine’s Day, after all, so these places will be crowded with long wait times. There’s a reason I’m recommending dinner early in this itinerary. You’re welcome!
Take a horse-drawn carriage ride

After your dinner in Disney Springs, take a boat ride down the Sassagoula River to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. You can catch the boat ride from the dock near the Marketplace area of Disney Springs. Once you get to Port Orleans – Riverside, you and your date can take a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through the resort. The carriages load next to the marina, outside the lobby’s rear entrance. You’ll want to act quickly to reserve your carriage because, now that I’ve spilled the beans, the remaining appointments will get snatched up.
Commemorate the day with a Magic Shot

After your cozy carriage ride, it’s time to have some fun at Magic Kingdom. You’ll board a Disney bus from Port Orleans – Riverside and be on Main Street U.S.A. in no time! When you get there, be sure to chronicle your special night with a Disney PhotoPass photo. Be sure to ask the PhotoPass photographer for a Valentine’s Day Magic Shot! There are a couple options available including Valentine’s Day balloons and confetti hearts. You’ll never want to forget this moment and, now, you won’t have to.
Cozy up in a teacup at Mad Tea Party

Nothing says love like getting cozy on a ride. How about a nice, small teacup? You can spin as fast or as slow as you want in your teacup; just you and your boo. Are we having fun yet? I thought so!
Add some fireworks to your night

You knew I would include this activity. Why wouldn’t I? After riding a few rides, be sure to grab a good spot in front of Cinderella Castle to see Happily Ever After. There’s no better way to end the night than by watching Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show while holding your loved one. Even if you think there will be more fireworks later (wink-wink), don’t miss these fireworks at 9 PM!
If you didn’t have Disney World Valentine’s Day plans for you and your date, or if you thought it might be too overwhelming to make plans, there’s an example of how easy it can be. Take full advantage of the timing of your Disney World trip by celebrating this Valentine’s Day like only a true Disney Adult can! I wish all who will enjoy Valentine’s Day at Disney World with the love of your life the best holiday!
