February is once again upon us. Happy Black History Month! As we all know, black history is American history and it is important to acknowledge the many contributions of black Americans. To this point, Walt Disney World is offering different ways for you to celebrate while visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. Let’s get into the different offerings you can expect during the month of February at Disney World.

Magic Kingdom Park
At Magic Kingdom, it is a must that you visit the attraction that pays homage to the first black Disney princess. At Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Princess Tiana would like you to help her gather some musicians for a soiree at her new diner. As you float down the bayou, expect to meet new musicians along the way that would be perfect for the party. You’ll enjoy jammin’ tunes and, after a 50-foot drop, you’ll attend the area’s best Mardi Gras celebration at Tiana’s Place. The time frame of this ride is about one year after where The Princess and The Frog left off so, if you’ve seen the movie, you’ll understand the continuation of the plot. Just be prepared to get wet!

Additionally, you can grab a front row seat along Main Street U.S.A. on February 9th for a special celebration. Disney will highlight Black History Month with author, entreprenuer, and former reality TV star Toya Johnson-Rushing serving as Grand Marshal of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Grab your spot prior to 3:00 PM on February 9, 2026 and enjoy!
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts
Over at EPCOT, you can experience the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts through February 23rd. While you take in the creativity of the talented artists there, be sure to intentionally scope out the artwork of these black artists:

The dates and locations for these artists, and others, are subject to change. As such, you can visit the festival website to see the current schedule. In case you miss their meet-and-greets, I have linked their websites with their names above.
Meanwhile, there’s also the ever-popular Disney On Broadway Concert Series! The America Gardens Theatre is your destination for these live performances of your favorite Disney music. Deep in the heart of EPCOT’s World Showcase, you’ll be able to see the following black performers during a live set:
- Jelani Remy (The Lion King)
- Anastacia McCleskey (Tarzan)
- Kissy Simmons (The Lion King)
- James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin)

MouseHouseNews.net has previously covered the Disney On Broadway Concert Series, including the scheduled dates for each performer.
Disney Springs
More black artists are showcased at Disney Springs, the shopping and entertainment complex at Walt Disney World. Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression is composed of murals by talented artists from around the globe. There is artwork from talented black artists including:
I have linked their websites in case you want to learn even more about their artistry and talents. If you have a Disney World vacation coming up, be sure to stop by the Art Walk! You can find the Art Walk in the Town Center area of Disney Springs.

Even at Walt Disney World, you can see black excellence in many areas! I, for one, appreciate Disney highlighting this talent and I encourage everyone to become familiar with these diverse works. Again, black history is American history. Expand your knowledge while having fun at Disney World. It is truly a magical thing! As the calendar turns to February, MouseHouseNews.net wishes everyone a Happy Black History Month! We’ll keep you informed on the many activities you can enjoy during your next Disney World visit.
