The costs can start to add up quickly when you are planning a Disney World vacation. Sometimes, you may feel like you can literally see the money fly out of your pocket right into Mickey Mouse’s gloved hand. The good news is that there are ways to save money on a Disney World vacation. You can even find free activities to do while you are there!
One of the free activities offered at Disney resorts is a nightly campfire. You can check the Resort Activities Guide at your resort to find out the exact time and location.
How It Works
When you arrive at the campfire site, a Cast Member will provide you with a free pack of marshmallows and a single-use marshmallow roasting stick. S’mores kits with graham crackers and chocolate are also available for purchase if you want to get extra fancy.
If you have ever roasted marshmallows before, you know the drill. Open that pack of marshmallows and stick one (or more) onto your marshmallow roasting stick. Then, just hold the marshmallow near/over the flames until it reaches your desired level of “toastiness”. Golden brown or completely charred, no judgement here!
After you’ve enjoyed your delicious, gooey toasted marshmallows, you can give your used roasting stick to a Cast Member who will dispose of it for you.
