You have many options when it comes to expressing your Disney style. You can be subtle or go all out. From shirts and hats to earrings or bags, the options are practically unlimited! One of my favorite ways to accessorize on a Disney trip (and at home too, if I’m being honest) is by adding a pair of Minnie ears.
I have been growing my collection of Minnie ears since 2015. I started out with a single pair: the classic black ears with a red bow (all in sequins, of course!). Over the years, I’ve continued collecting. Whenever I’m at Disney World, I take the opportunity to look at various gift shops to see what is currently available. Remember when I told you about my favorite gift shops around Disney World? If not, you should definitely check out that post too!
In addition to browsing gift shops while in Florida, I also peruse the Disney Store website when I’m at home. You will often find some of the same ears online that you can find in Disney World. This can be a great way to build your collection in anticipation of an upcoming trip, or grab a limited edition pair of ears when you’re not able to visit anytime soon.
When it comes to ears, there are constantly new options. Practically every gift shop will have a wall devoted to them! Today, I wanted to take some time to tell you about a few of the types of ears you can find to commemorate your favorite characters, rides, resorts, events, and more!
The Classics
Let’s start at the beginning, shall we? Ears that are “classics” are anything but basic! The ones that first come to mind for most people are probably the black ears with the red polka dot bow. Disney also offers ears in multiple solid colors that you can use to accessorize any outfit. Some colors are available consistently. Think black ears (often with a red or that polka dot bow), rose gold ears, silver ears, and so forth. Often, Disney will also come out with ears that reflect current trends. Anyone remember “Arendelle Aqua” or “Millennial Pink”? Such throwbacks!
You can frequently find solid color ears covered in sequins to add some sparkle, but they’re also available in other textures. On my last visit, I saw several pairs available in a basketweave texture that I thought were pretty interesting! Another frequent texture is fluffy or almost sherpa-like ears, especially in the wintertime.
Favorite Characters
Obviously, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are probably the first characters that come to mind when you think “ears”. However, Disney has also offered ears that help you rep other favorite characters as well!
There are lots of variations themed to different princesses, for instance. Personally, my collection includes some Snow White ears that I purchased to commemorate meeting her, Grumpy, Dopey, and The Queen at Story Book Dining at Artist Point. Someday, I hope to add the Little Mermaid ears to my collection. Maybe on the next trip…
Villains have also become a more popular theme for ears recently, especially with the debut of the new Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After show at Hollywood Studios. Fans of Star Wars, Toy Story, and Monsters Inc. can all find ears reminiscent of favorite characters, too. Why not grab some ears for Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, too? Personally, one of my favorite pairs that I own are my Three Caballeros ears from the Disney100 collection!
Build-Your-Own Character Headbands
Speaking of the unlimited options representing characters, in recent years a trend has grown to “build-your-own” headband customized with characters of your choosing. While not Minnie ears in the traditional sense, these headbands are a fun way to get creative and show off your custom collection of favorites.
The concept is simple. Purchase the headband, and then choose your characters (sold separately). You can add as many or as few characters as you want. While visiting Disney World over the holidays, I even saw some limited edition gingerbread Mickey characters for these headbands. If you want a customizable keepsake, these headbands could be the perfect choice!
Resort Specific Ears
One of my favorite ways to commemorate a stay at a Disney resort is by grabbing a pair of resort-specific ears. These are fun to wear as you’re strolling around your resort as well as a reminder of the memories you made on vacation once you’re back home. Of course, you don’t have to actually stay at a given resort to grab the ears, though! It’s worth checking out each resort’s gift shop to see what they have available.
Resort-specific ears are usually designed with the resort’s overall theming in mind. For instance, check out the cute little records and other details on the Pop Century ears!
Every so often, Disney will change up the designs for Resort merchandise. I’ll give you the example with my Wilderness Lodge ears. Here’s the pair I purchased during a stay in September 2024:
On my most recent visit to celebrate the New Year, I noticed that the design has been updated. Guess it’s time to purchase a new pair of ears!
This is also a good time to point out that you can even find ears for the Disney Skyliner! I was excited to grab these in late December 2025 at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. I also saw them at Pop Century and Caribbean Beach. Additionally, a cast member told me they should be available at Riviera as well. These ears deserve a special shout-out because the little Skyliner gondolas actually move back and forth when you move your head. So cute!
Disney Theme Parks and Attractions
Numerous attractions from each of the theme parks have ears to represent them. For several years in a row, Disney actually did monthly collections in which they released a new pair of ears themed to a different attraction each month. While they haven’t done a “Main Attraction” collection in several years, they do still create ears featuring some of our favorite rides and attractions. You can find ears for everything from The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to Pirates of the Caribbean.
In EPCOT, most pavilions in World Showcase have at least one pair of ears to represent their countries. No matter if you start your journey to the left in Mexico or the right in Canada, keep an eye out for ears when visiting your favorite pavilions!
Holidays and Special Events
If you’re lucky enough to be celebrating a holiday while in Disney World, odds are there are ears available to help you celebrate. You can typically find several variations of ears ahead of holidays like Christmas and Halloween. Currently, there are some adorable ears included in the 2026 Valentine’s Day collection. You can find them right now in the parks and on Disney Store’s website!
Disney also tends to include commemorative ears as part of the merchandise for specially-ticketed events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights. The designs vary each year, and most of them are dated with the year (I personally appreciate this detail).
EPCOT festivals are another recurring series of events in which you can usually expect to find a new pair of ears. I look forward each year to see the design for the ears of my favorite festival, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
If you are a runner racing through the parks for a runDisney event, you can usually expect to find ears for race weekends at the runDisney Health and Fitness Expo. I purchased these to celebrate the magical miles I conquered in my very first runDisney event during the 2025 Springtime Surprise Weekend!
As you can see, we’ve only scratched the surface of the many ways you can show off your Disney style through a pair of ears. Longtime collectors and newbies alike are guaranteed to find unique and exciting options. Variety is the spice of life, so don’t be shy in building a collection of your favorites.
