You can find snack carts in multiple locations at Disney World theme parks. These stands provide convenient, easy access to popcorn (including buckets and refills), ice cream novelties, and ice cold beverages. Many snack carts in Disney World are now operating on a cashless system. This includes snack carts at Disney Springs and many EPCOT festival booths, too. Signs are posted at the affected locations. If you intend to pay with a credit/debit card, your phone, MagicBand, or a Disney gift card, this change won’t significantly impact you. On the flip side, if you plan to use cash during your next visit, this change may be quite inconvenient.
If you are typically a “cash is king” person, one solution is to visit a merchandise location and use your cash to purchase a Disney gift card. Gift cards are an accepted form of payment everywhere in Disney World including cashless snack carts. They are available in so many fun designs, making great souvenirs once the value has been exhausted!
Don’t worry, cash fans. You can still use cash at most places around Disney World. You can continue to pay with cash for quick service dining, eating at table service restaurants, and buying merchandise at retail locations. It’s also a good idea to have some cash on hand for tipping Mousekeeping and Bell Services at the resorts. Finally, you can bring cash to purchase souvenir pressed pennies for your collection!
In the end, it’s important to be aware of this cashless system and prepare accordingly.
