Disney World is full of entertaining surprises. While many people attempt to plan their Disney vacations down to the last detail, it’s important to stay flexible and “in the moment”. Remember to allow some time to actually experience the magic around you. In other words, try not to always be glued to your phone. Cast Members are constantly surrounding Disney World guests with unexpected pieces of magic.
Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom is home to several special experiences beyond rides and character meet and greets. Not every activity is a huge time commitment, so it’s not difficult to add in a little bit of extra fun if you know where to look. For instance, you could bow to Cinderella’s fountain or try your hand at pulling the sword from the stone. Spoiler alert: unfortunately, I am not the chosen one. Another unique (and quick) activity for all ages is getting pixie dusted.
If you want to get a little bit of pixie dust, head over to Sir Mickey’s behind Cinderella Castle. Cast Members make the experience extra special by reciting a little rhyme and prompting you to make a wish. As you make your wish, they sprinkle pixie dust on top of your head with a magic wand. As one would expect, pixie dust is definitely glittery and beautiful! It’s a good thing there are mirrors inside Sir Mickey’s, so you admire the dusting of magic. Tinkerbell would be proud!
