We’re starting this Sunday with some bad news. The Disney World Express Monorail and Resort Monorail are both down this morning. Unfortunately, Monorail Silver suffered an issue this morning while returning to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) from Magic Kingdom. The issue appears to have been an electrical issue, and there was smoke seen coming from the vehicle.
In situations like this, what should you do? Disney provides many free transportation options, so they’ve got you covered. The MouseHouseNews.net team has previously reported how you can get from each resort to the theme parks using free transportation, and the monorail routes generally have a fallback. If you arrive at the TTC and the monorail is not running, you can board a ferry to get to Magic Kingdom. If you are staying in a monorail resort hotel, you can use a boat or walk to Magic Kingdom. Disney will generally make buses available even to those nearby resort hotels during these times because you cannot load mobility scooters onto the boats.
So, don’t worry if something like this happens during your trip to Walt Disney World. They will have you covered! For more tips for your next Disney World vacation, keep it tuned to MouseHouseNews.net.
