Welcome to the holiday season! As the MouseHouseNews.net team recently reported, we are officially into the most wonderful time of the year at Walt Disney World. Seasonal decorations have arrived at Magic Kingdom, Jingle Cruise is here, and plans for glimmering greenhouses have been set at EPCOT. Even Disney Springs is getting in on the holiday plans. Not to be outdone, the Disney Resorts have plans of their own!
An annual tradition held by many resorts at Disney World includes the construction of huge gingerbread houses. These works of art are constructed by Disney’s talented culinary team. They are made of actual gingerbread in the Disney kitchens, and they should be on your must-see list during your holiday visit to Disney World. You don’t have to have a hotel reservation at a resort to drop in to look around, so many people “resort hop” to take it all in. However, parking is limited at some resorts, so we recommend that you use Disney Transportation to resort hop. If you drive to a resort, there is a chance that you are prevented from entering the parking lot without a verifiable resort stay or dining reservation.

Generally, the same resorts feature a gingerbread display each year. This year, however, there is a notable change in the participating resort locations. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa currently has a major renovation underway in their lobby. As a result, their life-size gingerbread house will not be on display this year. As they celebrated 25 years of gingerbread houses at the Grand Floridian last year, the absence of a display this year will be a shock to many people.
Here are the Disney Resorts where you can expect to see a gingerbread display in 2025:
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
As previously mentioned, there will be no gingerbread display at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa this year. However, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will step in with a new display for the first time since 2019!

The gingerbread displays will be constructed by the Disney pastry chefs and their teams soon at these five resorts. Once finished, you’ll be able to see them displayed in the hotel lobbies through January 1, 2026. If you’re enjoying the magic of Disney World sometime in the next couple months, make some time to resort hop to see some or all of these displays. The sights are amazing, the smells are delicious, and you can even buy some treats made by the culinary team. You won’t be disappointed! MouseHouseNews.net will keep you posted with all of the new information to help you plan your next Disney Adults trip to Walt Disney World.
