Spending your day immersed in the magic, followed by a great fireworks show is a uniquely Disney World experience. Nothing says you’re on a Disney vacation much more than that. Whether you are ending your night with Happily Ever After or Luminous – The Symphony Of Us, you’ll be heading back to your hotel with a huge smile on your face. However, if you plan to ring in the New Year at Disney World, be prepared for an extra special fireworks show.
There are certain times of the year when Disney treats you to something really special, and one of those times is the very end of the year. As we enter the holiday party season for the next couple of months, plans are being finalized for the year end festivities. Now we know exactly what we can expect for the New Year’s Eve fireworks shows at Disney World.
Magic Kingdom
For visitors to Magic Kingdom, Happily Ever After is the regularly scheduled nighttime fireworks show. This show will be sidelined for a special headliner show towards the end of the year. Fantasy In The Sky Fireworks is a New Years Eve themed show that will light up the sky in place of Happily Ever After on December 30th and December 31st. There will be two shows each night. The first show will be at 7:30 PM and there’s a second showing at 11:50 PM. It’s good to be aware that Magic Kingdom will be putting on Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks from December 22nd – December 29th. Since December 21st is a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party date with no general admission fireworks show, that means the final showing of Happily Ever After for 2025 will be December 20th. Happily Ever After returns on January 1, 2026.
EPCOT
At EPCOT, the regular nighttime show is Luminous – The Symphony Of Us. This show will be rescheduled for one night only: New Years Eve. Unlike Happily Ever After, the Luminous show will go on… just at an earlier time. You can expect to see Luminous – The Symphony Of Us on December 31st at 6:30 PM. Then, at exactly 11:54 PM, EPCOT will put on Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration. This will be a fireworks show timed to ring in the new year right at midnight. Also, EPCOT will be open until 1:00 AM this day. Luminous – The Symphony Of Us returns to its regular time on January 1st.
