Big CHANGES Will Change The Way You See This EPCOT Ride

Attractions in Disney World are truly multi-sensory experiences. The Disney Imagineers use all sorts of sensory queues to influence your experience on a ride. Some rides have smells, some have splashes of water at times… there are all sorts of ways Disney brings you into the story on their rides. This is why the rides at Walt Disney World are so immersive. We have learned, however, that there are some changes coming to a popular ride in EPCOT that will affect your ride experience!

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a 3D attraction in the France pavilion of EPCOT. The ride shrinks you down to the size of Remy so you could go on an adventure with him in the famous Gusteau’s restaurant from a mouse’s perspective. Before boarding the ride, you will don a pair of 3D glasses to experience this adventure up close and personal. However, the MouseHouseNews.net team has just learned that the 3D aspects of this ride are going away very soon!

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT

November 9th is the final day to experience Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in its current 3D form. Starting November 10th, the ride will be closed temporarily to overhaul the graphics and imagery inside the ride. This includes removal of the 3D elements. Disney is promising a cleaner, clearer visual experience in 2D (in other words, without the need for 3D glasses). The visuals will be enhanced with lighting changes and new props as they are added to both the attraction and the ride queue. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is scheduled to re-open again on November 14th.

While the removal of the 3D elements might be a bummer to some people, we do acknowledge that some people did skip this ride because those same visual elements caused motion sickness for others. The freshening up of the visuals in this ride should appeal to all riders and help those who are bothered by 3D graphics. We’ll hop on the Disney Skyliner and keep an eye on the changes at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, so come back to MouseHouseNews.net for more information!
