Since 1991 at the park formerly known as Disney-MGM Studios, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has served up Italian delicacies in the shadow of Muppet*Vision 3D. As MouseHouseNews.net has previously reported, Mama Melrose’s, along with it’s Muppets Courtyard neighbors Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, have been served their eviction papers. The final day has come for Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano.
The Italian restaurant will serve its final meal tomorrow, May 10th. If this is one of your must-do restaurants at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and will be at the park tomorrow, you can try walking up to eat. However, it is highly possible that there will be big crowds. Taking a look at the reservation calendar, it appears there are no more advance reservations for this restaurant.
If you have an advance reservation here, or if you’re able to snag a walk up reservation tomorrow, savor those final moments of a Hollywood Studios icon. It will be missed. Buon Appetito!
The final remnants of Muppets Courtyard, Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, will continue operating through June 7th. After that date, Muppets Courtyard will begin transforming into a new Monsters, Inc-themed land. Stay tuned to MouseHouseNews.net for more developments as that land transforms.
