Disney’s Value Resorts are among some of the most popular places to stay on Walt Disney World property. Budget-conscious travelers appreciate the value pricing and larger-than-life theming. While many people think of Value Resorts as simply a place to lay their heads at night, these resorts actually have a lot more to offer including themed pools and resort activities!
Disney’s Value Resorts
Disney World currently has five Resorts in the Value category. These resorts are All Star Movies, All Star Music, All Star Sports, Art of Animation, and Pop Century. Staying at an All-Star Resort is the most affordable way to receive all the perks of being a Disney Resorts guest. Today, we’re going to focus on one All-Star Resort in particular. A recent Disney announcement could possibly impact your 2026 stay there.
Refurbishment Announcement
Disney periodically updates and refreshes hotel rooms on property to maintain or improve guest comfort. Disney recently announced a scheduled refurbishment for All-Star Movies Resort. Beginning in late May 2026, the rooms at this resort will undergo refurbishment. This work is expected to last through the end of January 2027.
While it appears that this will mostly be a soft goods refurbishment, guests may still see or hear construction in the area. Soft goods refurbishments typically include things like replacing linens and curtains, furniture updates, and painting. Generally these types of refurbishments take place on a couple of buildings at a time. The biggest impact to guests will likely be that you will need to take alternate paths to travel within the resort. Certain sidewalks and other areas may be blocked at any given time.
All-Star Movies last underwent a refurbishment in 2021, so this will be a nice refresh!
