Top Reasons to LOVE Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World

Top Reasons to LOVE Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World

We’ve often spoken about how there is a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel for everyone. No matter your budget, preferences, and needs, you can likely find the perfect fit for your next magical vacation. Don’t forget that there are currently several Special Offers you can take advantage of for summer and early fall 2026 visits! We’ve recently covered the free Disney Dining Plan offer as well as the newest hotel room discounts, including room discounts for Passholders. As a plus, even if you’ve already booked your vacation, you can still apply these newest offers to existing vacation plans. It’s a win-win!

The MouseHouseNews.net team has stayed at numerous Disney resorts in all categories over the years. We’ve recently started documenting resort and room tours on the MouseHouseNewsNet YouTube page, and there are even more videos on the horizon! One of our next stops (although it’s a repeat one for us behind the camera) is Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. You can look forward to a full review video on YouTube and resort rundown here on the blog very soon! In the meantime, I invite you to come island hop with me as I tell you some of the reasons why I love this resort (and you may, too)!

Admittedly, this resort is a little polarizing. Many people think Caribbean Beach is too vast and requires too much walking. There are no elevators in any of the buildings. Oh, yeah….it has the dreaded internal bus loops as well. While it’s true this resort has a large footprint and some rooms have better locations than others, there are still many things to love about Caribbean Beach.

The Aruba village

Theming/Ambiance

Let’s start with the basics. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a moderate level Disney Resort featuring five sections (known as villages). Each village is themed to a different Caribbean Island: Aruba, Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, and Trinidad. Colorful, two-story guest room buildings make up each section.

The resort’s feature pool, Fuentes del Morro Pool, is consistently bustling with activity. For a more laid-back experience, you can also visit one of five leisure pools. Each section has its own leisure pool, so you won’t have to travel far for some relaxing pool time!

Other signs that you’ve been transported to the islands include surroundings filled with lush greenery, the enchanting sound of Calypso music floating in the air, and gorgeous white sand beaches (more on those later…). A visit to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort really feels like a vacation within a vacation. It’s perfect for those seeking a relaxing, tropical retreat!

Skyliner Access

Here at MouseHouseNews.net, we’ve mentioned multiple times how much the Disney Skyliner is a game-changer. This is true for all of the resorts along the Skyliner route, but especially for Caribbean Beach. The Caribbean Beach Skyliner station is actually the transfer hub. Everyone must disembark at this station and transfer to another line to get to the various destinations. Destinations served by the Skyliner include EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Riviera, Art of Animation, and Pop Century Resorts.

The Disney Skyliner soars above the resort

Obviously, staying at Caribbean Beach puts you right at the transfer hub. That means that you only have to board a gondola headed to your ultimate destination when leaving your resort. This is extremely advantageous when it comes to crowded times like park open or close. If you arrive at the station early enough, you can get in line for EPCOT or Hollywood Studios prior to guests coming from Art of Animation and Pop Century even arriving at the transfer station. You’ll be on your way long before crowds build for the day. Similarly, at night, you only have to wait in one line for the Skyliner that will bring you back to Caribbean Beach.

The hub for the Disney Skyliner is located at Caribbean Beach Resort

Depending on which section of Caribbean Beach you are staying in, it may be more convenient to board the Skyliner at Disney’s Riviera Resort instead. In this case, you may have to transfer at the main Caribbean Beach station based on your destination.

Dining Options

Caribbean Beach Dining

Caribbean Beach has several dining options on site, and the Skyliner gives you convenient access to even more options! Let’s start with Caribbean Beach-specific options:

  • Sebastian’s Bistro – The MouseHouseNews.net team recently visited and posted a review of Sebastian’s Bistro. Highlights of the family-style dining meal include all you care to enjoy Chili-rubbed Beef with Roasted Red Pepper Chimichurri, Slow-cooked Mojo Pork with Mango Sambal (no mango for me unfortunately, but Marcus says its delicious!), Buttery House-baked Pull-apart Rolls with Guava Butter and Caramelized Onion Jam (the Onion Jam is my jam!), and House-made Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding w/ caramel sauce and ice cream.
  • Banana Cabana – the resort’s pool bar has its own unique vibes and is worth a visit! We’ve had several relaxing lunches here, but it’s great for just grabbing drinks as well. The Banana Cabana Burger and Jerk Chicken Sandwich are favorites. When it comes to drinks, Marcus and I both love the Pink Guava Colada. The pirate that lives inside of me also enjoys The Caribbean Smuggler (you can grab this drink at Sebastian’s Bistro as well).

  • Centertown Market – This is the resort’s main quick service location. You’ll find standard fare like Mickey waffles, and Bounty Platters for breakfast. At lunch/dinner, you can find standard burgers, chicken strips, and salads. What makes it special are the items with a unique, Caribbean twist. At breakfast, look for the Caribbean Omlet or Tropical Pancakes. For lunch and dinner, you can grab a jerk chicken bowl, fish tacos, a hot Cuban sandwich, and much more.
  • Spyglass Grill – admittedly, I’ve never visited this location. It’s worth mentioning though, as it is a walk-up counter convenient for some of the more far-out villages at the resort (like the Trinidad section). You’ll find a number of menu items here, including some that are also at Centertown Market.

Other Nearby Dining

Here are some other dining options you may want to check out if you stay at Caribbean Beach:

  • Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort
  • Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera resort (we highly recommend Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends!)
  • Landscape of Flavors at Art of Animation Resort
  • Everything Pop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Hurricane Hanna’s at Yacht & Beach Club (it’s the pool bar that serves up some delicious bites)
  • you also have easy access to other restaurants at Yacht & Beach Club, Swan & Dolphin, BoardWalk Inn
  • if you have a park ticket, you can easily dine at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios locations as well!
Freestyle machines can be found all over Caribbean Beach Resort

Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines

Caribbean Beach is also home to Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. If you’ve been following on the blog, you’ll know what fans we are of customizing the drinks we get in our Rapid Fill Refillable Mugs (hello, lime Coke!). Of course, having access to these drink stations is likely not going to be your main criteria when choosing a resort. However, I do want to point out something extremely convenient. Caribbean Beach is unique in that you can find a Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine in each village section! No need to walk all the way to Centertown Market each time, and you have 24-hour access to refills.

Freestyle machines are located all throughout the resort

Beaches (with Hammocks!)

After all of that delicious dining, you may just want to sit back and relax. I’ve got just the place for you! Choose from one of Caribbean Beach’s numerous white sand beaches. You’ll get scenic views of Barefoot Bay no matter which one you choose. Take your pick of hammock or lounge chair and stay awhile. I must say, there’s absolutely nothing like relaxing in a hammock at Caribbean Beach! I love watching the water, Skyliner gondolas, and the twinkling silhouette of Disney’s Riviera Resort. The scene is even more magically beautiful at night! Depending on your vantage point, you may even be able to spot some fireworks in the distance.

The beach vibes are real when you can lounge in a hammock
