Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is arguably one of the most iconic resorts around Walt Disney World. This opulent Magic Kingdom area resort even hosted royalty when Princess Diana, Prince William, and Prince Harry visited Disney World in 1993. If you’re ready to be treated like royalty as well, it may be time to book a stay or dining reservation here for your next trip.
Speaking of dining experiences, this resort is already teeming with options for us Disney Adults. It’s about to welcome back another fan favorite experience as well. The Garden View Lounge has remained shuttered since the COVID-19 pandemic. Many fans speculated whether or not it would ever reopen. Disney finally gave us an answer back in January. Beginning March 19, 2026, guests will once again be able to sip tea and savor delightful delicacies as part of The Garden View Lounge Tea Experience.

The Garden View Lounge Tea Experience
Disney Adults can expect a whimsical Alice in Wonderland theme in a setting that complements Grand Floridian’s updated main lobby. Multiple tea options will be available. This includes the debut of Orangery of Lady Grey®, a Disney World exclusive Twinings tea blend. As you sip on your perfect cup, you will enjoy a selection of sweet and savory small bites. For a complete listing of the available teas and delectable bites included in the experience, check out our coverage of the full menu here. While somewhat pricey at $79 per person, this experience is still less expensive than the afternoon tea option offered by The Cake Bake Shop. Plus, you get to enjoy the lavishness of The Grand Floridian!

Booking Reservations
To be among the first guests to book this experience, you will need to be ready as soon as reservations open. This is your reminder that reservations for the Garden View Lounge Tea Experience officially start booking tomorrow, February 19th! It’s guaranteed to be a popular reservation. As a result, reservations will likely fill quickly. Be ready to book your tea time on Disney’s website or your My Disney Experience app just before 6:00am EST when dining reservations open. As a reminder, you can make a dining reservation up to 60 days in advance. Disney Resorts guests (and guests of select hotels) can make reservations for the entirety of their hotel reservation (up to 10 days) starting at 60 days prior to your check-in date.

If you are unable to claim a reservation when the booking window opens, don’t be discouraged just yet. Other guests may ultimately amend their plans, so it is possible a reservation could open up at a later time. Keep checking back on the My Disney Experience app or Disney’s website to look for potential cancellations.
Other Grand Floridian Options To Enjoy
If you are unable to book a reservation for the Garden View Lounge Tea Experience, there are numerous restaurants at Disney’s Grand Floridian for your consideration including:

- Gasparilla Island Grill is a casual quick service location that doesn’t require a reservation. You’ll find an epic dessert case and Coca-Cola Freestyle machines there, so it’s a win in my book!
- Grand Floridian Cafe is a casual restaurant serving brunch and dinner favorites. It’s usually not very difficult to acquire a reservation here. That makes it a perfect choice for table service dining without the stress of advanced planning.
- For a signature dining experience, consider Narcoossee’s for waterfront dining and coastal cuisine. If you time your reservation just right, you may even be able to watch Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After fireworks right from your table.
- Another signature option is my personal favorite, Citricos. Citricos features touches from Mary Poppins Returns and a delightful menu to match. MouseHouseNews.net has included it in our list of restaurants perfect for a romantic date night!
- If you want the height of opulence, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is even home to a Michelin Star rated restaurant. Dine at Victoria & Albert’s restaurant for exemplary service and unparalleled culinary creations. This dinner-only restaurant is just as pricey as it is luxurious and will not admit diners under 10 years of age.

Create Your Perfect Cup Back At Home
Are you a Disney Adult who enjoys sipping an afternoon cup of tea and wants to create an elegant experience back at home? Head to The Tea Caddy in EPCOT’s United Kingdom pavilion. You can peruse and purchase everything needed to create your own afternoon tea experience in this quaint shop. They offer everything from teas and sweets to teacups and teapots. You might even spot Alice greeting guests outside!

Visitors to the upcoming EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival can once again enjoy the English Tea Garden tour sponsored by Twinings. Step just outside The Tea Caddy shop to explore the plants and herbs used to craft various tea blends as part of the self-guided tea tour. When you’re finished exploring, head back inside the shop and claim a small prize (in the past, it has been a choice from a selection of individual tea bags).
