You’ll Be Climbing STAIRS When You Stay At This Caribbean-Themed Disney Resort

Walt Disney World Resort currently boasts more than 25 resort hotels. With different themes, locations, and price tags, there are many factors to take into consideration when planning your vacation. Each visitor will prioritize different aspects when it comes to choosing “the best place to stay”. Depending on your needs and preferences, sometimes the most surprising details about a resort can result in a perfect match or a complete “no-go”. At MouseHouseNews.net, we strive to provide as much information as possible with the goal of helping you make the right choice for your next trip.

Entrance to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

One of my personal favorite resorts is actually Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. With lush island vibes and relaxing scenery, it’s a tropical vacation within a vacation. If you want your resort time to feel like an island getaway, this is your place! There’s nothing like relaxing in a hammock on one of the many sandy beaches. You also have access to excellent dining options. Caribbean Beach has options on site like Sebastian’s Bistro, Banana Cabana, and Centertown Market. Guests here also have easy access to restaurants at Disney’s Riviera Resort which is located right next door. Disney Skyliner access is a huge advantage at Caribbean Beach. Not only do you have quick transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, but you can also conveniently travel to the other resorts along the line.

There is an important detail about Caribbean Beach you should be aware of prior to booking a reservation. Even though all guest room buildings at the resort have two floors, none of them have elevators. While not a dealbreaker for everyone, there are certainly situations in which this can be a problem. First, this significantly impacts those with mobility issues. Requesting a ground floor room is really your only option in that situation. Additionally, if you have lots of luggage or heavy bags, maneuvering up and down the stairs during check in and check out can be inconvenient. Thankfully, Luggage Assistance can help with this issue. Again, those are just a couple of examples illustrating when a lack of elevators can be a disadvantage of this resort.

Requesting a ground floor room can be made during the Online Check-In process

If you need a ground floor room for any reason, you can select it as one of your room requests during the online check-in process. However, I would also recommend speaking with a Cast Member when you arrive to make your request directly. Cast Members will try to accommodate your request if possible based on availability.

Caribbean Beach Resort is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and worth a visit even if you decide to stay elsewhere. I recommend grabbing a Pink Guava Colada and relaxing at Banana Cabana for a bit. There’s no better way to get in a tropical mood!
