The Walt Disney World Resort is huge. The size of the resort exceeds 40 square miles, which is just about the size of San Francisco, CA. As such, Disney smartly created Disney Transport to help move visitors between the parks, hotels, and Disney Springs. In fact, Disney Transport is the 10th busiest public transit agency in the United States based on daily ridership. Unfortunately, one of Disney Transport’s free transportation modes will temporarily close starting tomorrow.

The Disney Skyliner is a gondola lift system that connects guests staying at four resorts with EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The resorts served by the Disney Skyliner include:
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Riviera Resort

As the MouseHouseNews.net team first reported months ago, there will be scheduled maintenance performed on the Skyliner tomorrow through January 31st. During this maintenance, the Disney Skyliner will not be available.

During this time, Disney Transport will provide guests traveling between one of the previously mentioned resorts and EPCOT or Hollywood Studios with a bus. Therefore, you will need to change your game plan if you are staying at one of these resorts within the next week. The main takeaway is that you will still be able to get to the parks.

Plans change often at Disney World, so it’s best to be flexible when this happens. You can always count on MouseHouseNews.net to keep you informed with the latest information. Don’t be caught off guard… come back often and be in the know!
