There’s just something about taking to the skies. It’s even better when you’re at Walt Disney World and you take to the skies. Yes, I’m referring to Soarin’ Around the World in EPCOT. Soarin’ Around the World is a ride that takes you on an airborne adventure all around the world, only without the TSA Security lines and carry-on restrictions. You’ll get to see some of the most majestic sights from around the world in just a few short minutes. It’s a fan favorite and something that I try not to skip, assuming the standby line does not have a high wait time.
However, as MouseHouseNews.net previously reported, the destinations for Soarin’ will be changing in 2026. The ride will change to Soarin’ Across America next year as part of the Disney Celebrates America celebration. Now we can report a more firm date range when you can expect this change.
If you have plans to visit Walt Disney World around Memorial Day (May 25th in 2026), you’ll likely be able to see the new ride firsthand. This is because Disney has pinpointed this holiday as the deadline for the ride’s re-imagination to open to the public. If you want to be amongst the first to experience this new flight, plan to visit Disney World at the end of May in 2026.
While you are timing your trip to EPCOT specifically for this flight, be sure to enjoy the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. This horticultural festival will take place from March 4th – June 1st, so you may be able to visit during its final days. That’s what I call making the most of your trip!
