The Tasty Reason People Will Be RUSHING To Disney’s Grand Floridian Lobby Next Week

With the dawn of another day at Walt Disney World Resort, we’ll have yet another grand opening. The MouseHouseNews.net team has recently reported about the openings Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, Jingle Cruise, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights. All of this has come about in November, largely coinciding with the transition to the holiday season. Just as the holiday decorations start adorning the theme parks and resorts, there is one notable grand opening expected next week in the lobby at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. However, it might not be what you are expecting.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a deluxe-tier property that is part of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. It is Disney World’s priciest hotel and offers amongst the most free transportation options. Unfortunately, the Grand Floridian lobby has been a construction zone for quite a while as renovations were underway. Home to an ornate gingerbread house for 25 straight years during the holidays, the lobby will be sans gingerbread house in 2025. Instead, we will see the opening of a new lobby bar.

Grab a drink in the lobby of the Grand Floridian

The Perch at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the bar’s official name, will open for your drink orders on Monday, November 10th. There are no small bites to be found on the menu; this is a drink-only shop. If you are into wine, you’ll find nine options from places such as France, Spain, New Zealand, Argentina, and California. Three beers are on the menu, all sourced from Florida. You’ll also find a couple of cocktails. Unfortunately, for the non-alcoholic drinkers, there will be one option: a Blueberry and Basil Iced Tea.

While The Perch certainly won’t draw as much fanfare as a 2025 gingerbread house, you’ll celebrate the construction wall disappearance. If you are interested in seeing gingerbread houses, we’ve highlighted where you can see them here.

If you just happen to be in the area on Monday, you might want to stop by for a drink. Honestly though, it’s not something I would go out of my way to see. Regardless, we’ll keep you updated here at MouseHouseNews.net with more Disney adult vacation news!
