An EPCOT Ride Will Be Getting The HOLIDAY Overlay Treatment Soon

I love visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday season. It was on my bucket list for a long time and, once I was able to visit during this short, special timeframe, I quickly confirmed that this is my favorite time of year to visit. The entire vibe of Disney World is transformed with garland, wreaths, baubles, gingerbread houses, and all the things. There are holiday parties at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Some of the rides even get a special limited-time overlay! We previously reported that Jungle Cruise will become Jingle Cruise for the holidays starting in early November over at Magic Kingdom. Now, we’ve learned when an EPCOT ride will receive its holiday overlay.

Living With The Land gets its Glimmering Greenhouses holiday overlay

Living With The Land is a boat ride in EPCOT’s The Land pavilion. It guides you through the greenhouses of EPCOT and informs you about innovative growing techniques used by Disney to help feed you and me. The ride changes slightly towards the end of each year, offering a unique holiday twist to the experience. If you will be visiting EPCOT between November 28th – December 30th, you will be able to ride the holiday version!

The return of Living With The Land – Glimmering Greenhouses directly coincides with this year’s EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which runs from November 28th – December 30th as well. During this time, the traditional Living With The Land ride will not be available. Instead, expect to see the greenhouses decorated with holiday lighting and other decorations that glimmer as your boat floats by.

There is no shortage of special events at Walt Disney World for the holidays. If you are visiting EPCOT this upcoming season, be sure to also hop on the Skyliner and make your way over to the Skyliner resorts for some festive resort hopping. You can also visit the resorts within walking distance to EPCOT to check out the gingerbread houses after enjoying the International Festival of the Holidays.
