Whenever I plan a trip to Walt Disney World, I go out of my way to arrive as early as possible on my arrival day. After all, why waste hours of a day when I don’t have to? My first night at the resort still costs the same amount whether I arrive at 9:00 PM or 9:00 AM, so I’d rather start my vacation ASAP. You might wonder what happens when you arrive to your Disney resort hours before check-in time. What do you do then? I’ve got your answer.
Every Disney Resorts Collection Hotel has a Bell Services department that can help! If you have checked in using the app, you will receive a push alert, text, and email when your room is ready. If you arrive at your resort before receiving those messages, or if you didn’t check in online, head straight to the front desk at your resort. The Cast Members there will be able to let you know if there is a room available at that time. If a room isn’t available, don’t worry! You can simply drop your bags off and hop on Disney Transportation to head straight to the theme park, enjoy the resort, or visit the pool… immediately.
Bell Services, also called Luggage Assistance, is a department near the front desk of every Disney resort that exists to help guests with their bags upon check-in and departure from the resort. Bell Services can hold your bags at check-in until your room is ready, but they can also hold your bags at check-out for the rest of the day until it is time for you to leave the resort.
So the next time you fly to Walt Disney World and arrive at sunrise, ready to conquer Space Mountain, just know that there’s space for your luggage at your Disney resort even if your room isn’t ready. Likewise, if you have a late evening flight home and have to be checked-out of your room at 11:00 AM, there’s space for your luggage as well at Bell Services. Just stop by to pick your bags up (or call upon arriving to your room to arrange for delivery).
