Stepping into a resort at Walt Disney World is like walking into a new, transformed reality. Suddenly, you find yourself inside a magical place far from Orlando. This experience alone makes it worth the price of staying at a Disney Resort, especially if you can get a good deal for the room. However, if you have reservations at one Disney World resort, you might want to be prepared for some unexpected noises and possible detours during your stay.
Disney’s Pop Century is one of five value resorts that makes up the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. It is one of the more popular value resorts, given its location along the Disney Skyliner route and easy access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can find larger than life memorabilia all over the resort grounds which reminds you of decades past. But, as with any property, buildings must be maintained to stay desirable. That is why Disney’s Pop Century Resort is now in the middle of a refurbishment.
Pop’s combination food court and gift shop, Everything Pop Shopping & Dining, completed a renovation earlier this year. Now, the hotel’s lobby and guest rooms are undergoing renovations. The lobby has an estimated completion date of early October. The guest room refurbishment is planned to be completed by mid-February 2026.
While you are still welcome to stay and visit Pop Century during construction, just be prepared to see and hear equipment that does not match the magical surroundings.
