Enjoying a table service restaurant at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel is an experience like no other. Each restaurant has its own vibe, from laid back date-night worthy to loud and rambunctious. On the latter end of that scale lies Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Known for its Old Western theming, this restaurant is a favorite due to the antics served up by the Cast Members. Ask for some ketchup, and the diners jump in on the antics as well! For this reason, Whispering Canyon Café has a loyal following. Unfortunately, this restaurant will not be serving up any antics after May 11th… for a while, at least.
Beginning on May 12th, Whispering Canyon Café will be closing for refurbishment. This refurbishment is expected to last until May 21st with an expected re-opening on May 22nd. Therefore, if you want to go one last time to get all the ketchup your heart desires, you’ll want to dine by May 11th. Just be aware that May 11th is also Mother’s Day, and Whispering Canyon Café will have a special brunch menu. That means regular menu items will be unavailable between 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM that day. You’ve been warned!
You will especially want to take note of this closure if you are staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge between May 12th and May 21st. Thankfully, Wilderness Lodge does have plenty of other dining options for you to experience, so you won’t go hungry!
