Happy Star Wars Day! May the 4th brings about a whole lot of fun in the galaxy, particularly at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you are going, expect a lot of company as the 4th falls on the weekend this year. You’ll have big fun strolling through Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but be prepared for longer wait times for rides such as Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. If you don’t mind splitting up, you may be able to save some time if you take advantage of single rider lines (if they are being offered this day). You should also expect longer than usual lines for Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.
We also expect there to be crowds in the food and merchandise locations back in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The word on the street is that there will be limited edition snacks. Speaking of merchandise, you will see a temporary re-opening of the Stage 1 Company Store. This store will be debuting a new May the 4th Be With You 2025 Collection of merchandise; and there will be a new selection of tees, pins, totes, hats, and more merchandise representing the galaxy. Be sure to also keep an eye out for the Empire Strikes Back 45th Anniversary Collection. However, you can’t just walk into the store to make your purchase. On May 4th, Walt Disney World will bring back the virtual queue in order to manage crowds at the Stage 1 Company Store, so be sure to have the MyDisneyExperience app at the ready on your phone starting first thing in the morning.
The virtual queue will open promptly at 7:00 AM on May the 4th. If you want to get the best shot at gaining entry to the Stage 1 Company Store, you’ll be awake and waiting to request your spot in the queue bright and early at 7 AM.
