It’s going to be another nice day in Orlando today with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s. In other words, it’s a great day to visit a water park! As we’ve previously reported, those checking into a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel this year can visit a water park for free on check-in day. For the first time in 2025, the water park everyone will be floating into is Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon!
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is one of two water parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. Along with Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, these two parks have hours of aquatic fun for the entire family. Whether you are more of a lazy river fan or you are a thrill seeker, both water parks have something for you!
For a number of years, we’ve seen Disney operate one of these water parks at a time. Typhoon Lagoon would be closed with Blizzard Beach is open, and vice-versa. With the re-opening of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, that means Disney’s Blizzard Beach is now closed. But this year, there is a twist!
The closure of Blizzard Beach is very, very temporary. It will re-open on May 21, which means both Disney World water parks will be open at the same time just in time for summer! This marks the first time since 2019 that both water parks will be open at the same time. That means you will have a choice to make! Not a bad deal, especially if you can access either water park for free on your hotel check-in day.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open today from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM. If you plan to include a water park day on your vacation, be sure to utilize Disney Transportation to and from the water parks. We’ll keep you informed of any new changes here at MouseHouseNews.net!
