A Popular Attraction Closes FOREVER At Disney World This Weekend

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can become one with nature. The theme park celebrates animals and their habitats while transporting you all over the world to destinations such as Africa and Asia, plus some fictional locations such as Dinoland U.S.A. and Pandora. At the center of the park on Discovery Island, you will find the park’s icon: the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is a 145-foot tall sculpture modeled after a baobab tree, and you can see it from many parts of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Inside the base of the Tree of Life, you will find a 428-seat theater named the Tree of Life Theater. Since 1998, this theater has been home to the 3D attraction It’s Tough to be a Bug, which is based on the 1998 Disney/Pixar movie “A Bug’s Life”. That is about to change, as It’s Tough to be a Bug is closing forever this weekend.

The final day to experience It’s Tough to be a Bug is Sunday, March 16th. A new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, will replace the current show. The new show is based off the 2016 Disney Animation film “Zootopia”. As of now, the timeline provided by Disney for the anticipated opening of Zootopia: Better Zoogether! states that it will open in Winter 2025.
