It’s March and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is back! Today marks the start of the 30th year of the festival which highlights all things flowers, garden, fresh food, and horticulture. With the return of the flower and garden festival, we are excited to welcome back Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration!
For those who have not been to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is a returning scavenger hunt that sends visitors all over World Showcase. For the price of $9.99, you can purchase a scavenger hunt map from select merchandise locations. Once you have the map, you will be on the hunt for Spike the Bee on a pollination trail. When you find Spike the Bee in the areas highlighted on the map (he’s generally hiding in a garden somewhere in the specified areas), you will place a sticker on the map. Bring a completed map to Disney Traders, World Traveler, or Creations Shop, and you will receive a prize.
The scavenger hunt is a good (and inexpensive) way to enjoy the gardens around World Showcase. You get a nice souvenir in the end, in addition to your completed map, and it is a nice way to stay engaged on a nice Spring day while visiting the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. If you are heading to Walt Disney World by June 2nd, be sure to visit the festival and pick up a map to participate in Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration. It makes for a great time!
